Company Background & Job Summary: Our client is a beverage alcohol distribution company in Kenya with a large network and brand base.
This position is responsible for developing strategy and executing the strategy for increasing revenue and distribution footprint for the brands in all appropriate markets such that we’re profitable in all markets and are competing at the same level of excellence.
There’s a great deal of responsibility and freedom in this position. It also necessitates development and deployment within excellent team
Achieve and exceeding budgeted volumes, revenue and market share is key.
Reporting will be directly to the senior Marketing Manager and functionally to Moet Hennessy’s Market Manager Eastern Africa.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations :
- Define and execute the commercial and marketing plans in on-trade key accounts for the MH Brand
- Call on a minimum of 20 outlets a week
- List of new brands, training of staff
- Development of new and potential outlet relationships and oversight of those relationships
- Maintain and update key accounts on weekly basis
- Coordination with other managers regarding special projects, events management, trade shows, activations etc.
- Development and management of social media strategy, including message points, channels, standards and execution.
- Develop permanent brand visibility
- Drive volumes
- Manage agencies and promotions along with ROI on the same
- Budget tracking
- Develop brand plans and manage implementation
- Create, and maintain personal relationships with key influencers (media, business)
- Monitor competition activity and come up with proactive but needful steps to counter
Qualifications and skills
- 3 years Commercial or event Management experience in FMCG or the beverage industry
- Graduate with Degree in Business or Marketing
- On-trade experience
- International experience is a bonus
- ICT literate
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Networking and negotiation skills
- Ideally an extrovert personality type (due to nature of trade outlet exposure necessary)
- Understanding and sensitivity to luxury brands/ environs
