Assistant Accountant Job in Koru, Kisumu County, Kenya

We are a Company based in Koru, Kisumu County and we are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Assistant Accountant who will report to the Chief Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash control books reconciliation


• Preparation of the monthly management accounts


• Checking customer invoices before dispatch by sales department


• Checking postings before update


• Updating the asset register


• Reconciliation of the petty cash control account


• Workshop Job card costing


• Monthly reconciliation of stocks.


• Checking of vouchers


• Compiling of VAT,SDL & SL


• Online filing of returns on itax


• Checking of requisitions(expenses)


• Related party reconciliation


• Creditors and debtors  reconciliation


• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

• CPA K


• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Finance & Accounting


• Proficiency in relevant computer applications e.g PASTEL


• Experience with managing people, Leadership skills
