Job Description: Our client, a Consultancy firm in Nairobi, seeks to hire a thorough, organized, highly skilled and competent Assistant Project Manager. 





He /she shall offer assistance in project management assignments and some of the duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:

 
  • Evaluate the progress of projects to ensure that the timeline is followed steadily and consistently.

  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project on time in full.

  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project

  • Perform important administrative duties like updating project schedules, taking minutes at meetings, making phone calls to vendors and suppliers and writing progress reports to the project team.

  • Develop forms and records to document project activities and ensure proper and secure documentation of all project information.

  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.

  • Monitor cash flow projections on all budgeted project expenditures and report actual cash flow and variance to management as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma in Project Management or related field.

  • At least 2 years experience in a project management role, with demonstrated ability in Project Financial Management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and staff management in different organisations

  • Efficiency in using MS. Project software, Gantt charts and ability to develop efficient work plans in project management shall be an added advantage.

  • Should be atleast 25 years of age.

  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be a good time manager and able to work with tight deadlines.

  • Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills.

  • Must be one who is available immediately.
