Job Opening: Project Manager – Business Farming

Tradecare is looking to hire the services of a creative and innovative individual who has exposure and interest in business farming as well as building appropriate farmer extension and aggregation models that are capable of tranforming agricultual productivity at farm level.  

The  ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of development consultany and should have ideally worked in management or supervision for a minimum of four years in a busy organisation or offered services to an organsiation that is involved in agricultural sector development or busienss development. 

This is an mid-level position that requires a candidate who is looking for growth in an innovative small organisation that provides the right evironment for creativity, knowledge and growth. 

The ideal candidate should have the following demonstrable knowledge, skills and competencies:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills


• Experience offering agricultural advisory services or management services to busineses.


• Demonstrable skills in designing high quality creative training materials


• Detail orientation


• Excellent trainer


• Knowledge on agriculture or agri-business


• Knowledge of national labour laws and environmental protection laws


• Ability to work on deliverables with minimal follow up and supervision

Qualifications

• Degree in agribusiness management, agricultural economics or business economics


• Minimum management or supervisory experience of 4 years in a busy organisation


• Ability to demonstrate key skills through technical publications.
