The post seeks to provide technical level support for region wide Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives.
How can you make a difference?
Reporting to the Regional Chief of ICT, this position supports various activities related to the scale up of T4D projects and regional initiatives.
This function liaises with the stakeholders that includes ICT, Innovation, Programme colleagues and various partners at the project and operations support level.

Education:
Advanced university degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, International Affairs, International Relations, International Development, Business Management, or related practical experience.
*A first University Degree in a relevant field combined withadditionalyears of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree*
Experience:
Minimum two years’ experience managing, designing and implementing solutions for large-scale technical projects, including supervising engineers and software developers, responsibility for budgets, contracts and procurement, etc. Experience with technology related projects in a development context and/or the UN. Proven skills in training, management, and strategic thinking. Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
