The Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Swimming Coach/Teacher to teach across the Academy. The coach/teacher should be highly competent in Physical Education and Swimming.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education (Physical Education) from a recognised institution and a second subject would be an added advantage.


• Swimming lifesaving qualification/certification


• First Aid training Certification.


• Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.

Experience:

• At least three years’ demonstrable teaching/coaching experience in a similar position.


• Passionate about 21st Century teaching skills and I.T. savvy.


• Knowledgeable in modern pedagogy.


• Excellent communication skills, written and oral communication and able to respond efficiently to questions/inquiries.


• Ability to give out information/instructions one-on one, to student groups and execute team activities.


• Ability to implement athletic programs and knowledgeable in variety of sporting activities.


• Leadership skills and ability to apply them to develop students/teenagers.


• Innovative and creative individual.


• Good planning and organisation skills.


• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.


• Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities.
