Reporting to the Security & Risk Manager, the Investigator will support in the delivery of systematic operational risk frameworks to reduce the levels of risk within the organization. In liaison with the Manager, enforce compliance with security, safety and operational procedures and instructions through frequent inspections while supervising and coordinating security defects, audits and assurance reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations assigned and submit reports within set out timelines as stipulated in the Investigation policy
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other relevant government agencies, gather intelligence while providing operational risk analysis and scenario analysis and unconventional due diligence
- Assist the Security & Risk Manager in undertaking, producing and updating risk assessment(s) relevant to the company’s operations
- Conduct regular and adhoc audits, inspection and ensure compliance of procedures and documentation across the business
- Conduct site surveys to mitigate on risks, address non compliance and recommend action
- Investigate and submit reports as per policy on all incidents either within the company or at client’s location that require investigation
- Investigate all cash attack incidents and loses, assess issues of risk and make appropriate recommendations, submit full report
- Conduct surveillance both covert and overt on Cash in Transit (CIT) crews, couriers and other service lines ensuring compliance of operating procedures
- Proactive management of incidents through regular and adhoc inspections and security surveys
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Collect, collate & disseminate relevant intelligence to Security & Risk Manger (General) in an effective and timely manner
- Co-ordinate and liaise with law enforcement officers and other relevant agencies in matters of criminal activity against the company and clients for prosecution
- Participate in all matters of Security, health and safety including work place inspection and risk assessments
Ideal candidate:
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary education
- University Degree in a security related field from a recognized University is an added advantage
- Knowledge of criminal law will be essential
- Good organizational and people management skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment.
- Excellent communication skills and IT skills
Experience
- 4 -5 years’ experience as an investigator
- Training and exposure in Investigations, Risk management or a related field is required
