Applications are invited from qualified Degree, Higher National Diploma and Diploma holders for the positions of Vocational and Technical Trainers.
VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINER (MECHANICAL/AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING)
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 38,270 – 49,950 pm
CSG 10/JOB GROUP “K”
House Allowance: As per prevailing civil servant rates
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 6,000 pm
Annual Leave Allowance: Ksh. 5,000 p.a
Leave Entitlement: 30 working days p.a
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Production/Plant), Automotive, Agricultural Engineering, Medical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Gas and Petroleum Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
- been registered by the relevant professional body (where applicable)
Note: Pedagogy and Practical experience in the relevant niche area will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
- undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
- preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
- setting and marking examination/assignment;
- carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
- supervising trainees’ projects and practical work
