Finance Analyst

Summary

Responsible for assisting the Head – Finance & Legal in financial analyses related to business planning & budgeting, business performance monitoring and forecasting, and corporate finance initiatives

Key Duties & Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to the following)

Assist the Head – Finance & Legal in the analysis of the Company’s financial and operational data to determine performance over prior periods across portfolios and geographies and conduct variance analysis to determine gap between planned and actual performanceWork with the Strategy team to monitor fundamental macroeconomic, industrial, and corporate developments through tracking of financial publications, industry reports, official records, etc. to develop and maintain an understanding of the business environmentDevelop and share with relevant departments reports on industry trends and forecasts with segment analysis and prepare scenarios and outlooks for business in different geographical regions based on such resultsWork with the Strategy team to prepare the financial plan for the Company as part of the business planning processWork with the Strategy team to evaluate financial implications of opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, alliances, joint ventures and partnerships on the capital structure of the CompanyWork with the Business Development Managers and Development Managers to prepare business case for new business opportunities identifiedWork with the Head – Finance & Legal, Business Development Managers and Development Managers to prepare project financing strategies and plans for new business opportunities undertakenWork with department Heads to prepare annual departmental budgets and forecasts of capital funding requirements, if anyQualifications & Skills

Education and Experience

Minimum Master’s degree with major coursework in Finance and/ or Economics; or MBA with specialisation in Finance; or a chartered/ public accounting certificationAt least 6-8 years of experience in financial analysis, financial management and/ or corporate financeGood knowledge of finance, economic and statistical principles and analytical techniquesHigh level of analytical ability and accuracyExcellent financial modelling skillsExcellent MS Office skills, especially MS Excel skillsHigh degree of facility with the English languageIf you are qualified and up to the challenge, please send your resume and day time contact to kenyanrecruiter@gmail.com clearly stating the job position in the subject and your current & expected remuneration in your application.
