Cotton Development Authority, a State Corporation in the Ministry of Agriculture mandated to promote, regulate and coordinate cotton industry in Kenya is looking for suitably qualified candidates who are between 25 and 45 years of age for the post of:

Job Title: Principal Supply Chain Management Officer
Scale: CODA 8 (1 Post)
Salary Scale: 47,272 – 66,971 P.M.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Management for coordination of procurement function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Efficient management and distribution of stores;
* Carrying Market research and vendor rating;
* Follow up of outstanding deliveries;
* Procuring of stores/supplies and contractors;
* Ensuring that stocktaking and inventory controls are done;
* Advising on disposal of unserviceable/obsolete stores and equipments;
* Ensuring the correct interpretation and implementation of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005 the regulations procedures and other statutes that impact on Supply Chain Management.

Qualifications

* Served as a Chief Supply Chain Management Officer or an equivalent position in a comparable organization for a minimum period of three (3) years;
* A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following:- Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing, Law or their equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
* A Diploma in Supplies Management or its approved equivalent from a recognized Institution;
* Certificate in computer applications;
* Attended a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks; and
* Demonstrated general administrative ability required for direction, control and implementation of Public Procurement and Disposal Act.
