University of Nairobi Secretarial,Clerks, Drivers, Admin Jobs Vacancy.

University of Nairobi Jobs and Careers.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT GRADE CD, DEAN’S OFFICE, FACULTY OF ARTS – AD/03/53/10 (CHSS) (1 POST)
Applicants should have a Bachelors’ degree (at least lower 2nd Class Honours) from a recognized University. They should also be computer literate.
Please note that this is a three year contract renewable through mutual
agreement.

SECRETARY GRADE B, DEAN’S OFFICE, FACULTY OF ARTS, -
AD/03/54/10 (CHSS) (4 POSTS)

Applicants should be holders of KCSE mean Grade C or KCE Div. III or equivalent qualifications with a credit in English Language. In addition, they must have sat and passed the following subjects examined by the Kenya National Examination Council or an equivalent certificate from a recognized examining body;
Business English III
Commerce II
Secretarial Duties II
Office Management III
Shorthand III (minimum 100 wpm) or Audio-typewriting III
Typewriting 50 wpm
Applicants should have certificates in and be able to use Word Processing,
Spreadsheets and Data Base management Packages. Applicants are also required to have three (3) years experience as Assistant Secretary Grade A or a comparable position of responsibility and be knowledgeable in Anti-Virus tools.
Please note that this is a three (3) year contract renewable through mutual
agreement.

DRIVER GRADE B, PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE, CEES – AD/03/55/10 (CEES) (1 POST)
Applicants should have at least KCSE level of Education, a clean valid driving license classes ABCE and PSV. In addition, applicants should have passed Occupational Trade Test Grade I, have a certificate in First Aid and at least five (5) years satisfactory previous driving experience at Grade A, a clean record of service and good public relations and be prepared to work outside working hours.

ASSISTANT SECRETARY GRADE A
1. BOARD OF COMMON UNDERGRADUATE COUSRSES (BCUC) –
AD/03/ 59/10 (R&T) (1 POST)
2. PUBLIC HEALTH, PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY –
AD/03/60/10 (CAVS) (1 POST)

Applicants should be holders of KCSE mean Grade C or KCE Div. III or equivalent qualifications with a credit in English Language. In addition, they must have sat and passed the following subjects examined by the Kenya National Examination Council or an equivalent certificate from a recognized examining body;
Business English II
Commerce II
Secretarial Duties II
Office Management III
Shorthand (minimum 80 wpm) or Audio-typewriting III
Typewriting 50 wpm
They should have knowledge in Word Processing.
Long serving officers without professional qualifications and have a minimum of ten years experience and 50 wpm in typewriting will also be considered;
In addition, they must sit for and pass typing practical test (50 wpm), show an indication or effort to improve her/his professional qualifications and should have satisfactorily served in the Grade of copy Typist IV for a minimum period of ten (10) years.

CLERK GRADE IV, DEAN’S OFFICE FACULTY OF ARTS – AD/03/61/10 (CHSS) (3 POSTS)
Applicants should posses KCSE grade C or its equivalent with Credits in English and Mathematics. They should also have three (3) years experience as Clerk Grade III.
They are also expected to show merit and ability in work performance and results.
Please note that this is a three (3) year contract renewable through mutual
agreement.

DRIVER GRADE III
1. OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR – AD/03/62/10 (R&T)
(1 POST)
2. PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE, CEES – AD/03/63/10 (CEES) (1 POST)

Applicants should be holders of at least KCSE level of education or equivalent with a clean driving license classes ABCDE and PSV. In addition, they should have sat and passed Occupational Test Grade III, Motor vehicle Mechanic Grade II certificate, be in possession of a certificate in First Aid, have a clean record of service and have at least three (3) years experience at Grade II.

Those who do not meet the above qualifications and have served as driver grade II for a period of not less than six (6) years will be considered.
Successful applicant should be ready to work outside normal working hours including weekends and public holidays.
