Chemonics/Kenya Pharma is a USAID funded project whose primary objective is to establish and operate a reliable and sustainable pharmaceutical supply chain management system including forecasting, procurement, warehousing and distribution of quality assured HIV/AIDS related commodities.
Reporting to the Supply Chain/Logistics Specialist, s/he will assist in the overall coordination and management of freight forwarding, warehousing and transport activities for the Kenya Pharma project.
Principal duties and responsibilities include assisting to manage inbound shipping and clearance of Kenya Pharma commodities, warehousing and inventory, outbound delivery of drugs to the facilities, as well as the reverse logistics of the commodities;. S/he will report and implement identified ISO 9001 procedural controls; and ensure compliance with USAID regulations, Chemonics policies and procedures, and GoK regulations and laws.
Qualifications a) A bachelor’s degree in commerce, purchasing and supply management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. b) At least 5 years relevant work experience. c) Membership to a relevant professional body. d) Knowledge of USAID and its contractual and reporting requirements.
