Distell Winemasters (Kenya) Production Manager Job Vacancy

Our client, Distell Winemasters (Kenya) is looking for a passionate and dynamic person to fill the position of Production Manager reporting to the General Manager.Responsible for attainment and adherence to production plan.Effectively plan and manage inbound supply chain.Ensure reduction in re-works, re-processing and unplanned downtime.Ensure improved production efficiencies (ex OEE).Responsible for plan and control departmental budget.Responsible for maintenance plan, P&M and efficient asset utilisation.Management of quality systems relating to production.Ensure compliance to all health, safety and risk management policies and procedures.Develop and implement annual departmental business plans.Maintain sound industrial and employee relations.Drive continuous improvement projects.People management which includes career and development.Compliance to Distell quality management system (IFSIBRC/ISO).Actively participate in daily and weekly management meetings.A recognized tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be highly recommended (e.g. B. Sc Production Engineering).3 - 5 years’ experience within a fast moving consumable goods environment and/or applicable qualification.Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and statistical data accurately.Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage people with diverse backgrounds.Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills to ensure task completion.Sound knowledge in Industrial Relations practices and experience in handling disciplinary matters.Good verbal and written communication skills.Competent in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Reliability, flexibility and ability to perform under pressure.Send your application with a detailed maximum 3page A4 size and a daytime telephone contact so as to reach us by 12 noon 9th July, 2012.
