Organise and coordinate logistics with regards to the transport, storage and receiving of incoming and outgoing products and items.
Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate worldwide air shipping, receiving, and transfer of perishable goodsCollaborate and advise on logistic matters within the global organizationMonitor the quality, quantity, costs and efficiency of the movement and storage of perishable goodsEnsure that all warehousing operations are carried-out in a timely manner while adhering safety, health and quality regulationsExpediently analyze and resolve logistics problemsTrain, develop and assess logistics team members to ensure they adapt to the company’s evolution and operational excellenceLiaise and negotiate with clearing agents and transportersDiploma or Bachelor degree in supply chain, business logistics or related fieldExcellent oral and written communication skills in English and KiswahiliA minimum of 2 years work experience in logisticsExperience working in perishable goodsExperience working in agriculture is a plusDynamic, ambitious and self-motivatedAssertive, problem solving, and integer personalityApplications should reach Florensis no later than 20thAugust 2012, and should include: detailed CV, copies of certificates and names of referees.
