Assessment of the key compliance risks and steps being taken to address themAssessment of how the various parts of the insurer are performing against compliance standards and goalsMaterial compliance violations or concerns involving any management or staff and status of any investigations or actionsMaterial fines or other disciplinary actions taken by the IRA in respect of the insurer or any employeeThe compliance officer has the authority and obligation to promptly inform the chair of the board directly on major non-compliance by a member of management or by the insurerPromote an ethical corporate culture that values responsible conduct and compliance with internal and external obligationsIdentify, assess, report on and address key legal and regulatory obligations, including obligations to the authorityEnsure the insurer monitors and has policies, processes and controls in respect of the key areas of legal, regulatory and ethical obligationHold regular training on key legal and regulatory obligations Facilitates the confidential reporting by employees of concernsAddress compliance shortcomings and violationsConduct regular assessments of the compliance function and the compliance systems and implement or monitor needed improvementsMinimum Educational (or other qualifications) requiredUniversity Degree in related filed (insurance, risk)Professional Accounting qualification i.e. CPA-K/ ACCA/ACIIAt least three years experience in management within the insurance industry;IT proficiency- Computerized accounting system skills e.g., Orion, AIMS, Premium;Organization & Planning SkillsCommunication SkillsAnalytical/Research SkillsTime management skillsProblem SolvingTeam Building SkillsInterpersonal AbilitiesMulticultural SensitivityProblem-SolvingTo apply for this position send your CV to mycv@myjobseye.com quoting the position in the subject line and preferred location.
