
Under the supervision of the Project Chief of Party, the Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for manageing the administration and financial aspects of the project by providing accounting, administrative, management, and logistical support to facilitate the implementation of program activities. Ensures financial management, human resources, administrative, and contractual operations are conducted according to ICAP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, cost principles imposed by ICAP or the funder and good business practices. Directs the management of Sub-awards. Directs the management of IT and telecommunications functions. Oversees procurement process and ensures that it is executed according to Standard Operating Procedures. Participates in strategic planning for the organization. Liaises with external auditors. Ensures all levels of risk the organization may be exposed to are identified and measures put in place to reduce this exposure.
EducationMaster’s degree in Finance or Accounting and CPA/ACCAExperience, Skills & Minimum Required QualificationsMinimum ten (10) years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting positionMinimum five (5) years of experience managing USAID projectDemonstrated experience in strategic planning and executionDemonstrated knowledge of USG contractingHow to apply:Note: This is a local hire position and the successful candidate will be an employee of ICAPin Kenya and subject to the local terms and conditions of employment which includes a competitive salary and benefits package.
