Job Title: Assistant Manager – Alternative Distribution Channels
Immediate Supervisor: Head of Marketing & Business Development
Overall Responsibility: The position is responsible for leading the ADC Unit in the identification, servicing and growing the relationship of the various new and existing product distribution channels.
Key Tasks, Duties and ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development which involves identifying, growing and meeting new business and renewals in relation to Banc-assurance and other Alternative Distribution ChannelsProviding Support and Customer Service to the various partners and distribution channelsDrive Product Innovation in the Product Development Committee by proposing various Micro insurance ProductsProvide logistical support in branding and product development of micro insurance productsConduct Market and competitor research on new and existing products.Retain, develop and maintain constant contact and establish an effective communication protocols with key stakeholders in Bancassurance & Micro Insurance sectorMonitor and evaluate & give feedback the performance of Key products including Orient Mobile; Safaribima and other Micro insurance and Bancassurance products.Provide feedback to Management on operations, challenges, progress and the needs of the Micro-Insurance unit.Manage the Performance and Development of the staff in the unitWork closely with trainers to develop and implement a Consumer Education program for the micro-insurance customers.Conduct Trainings and informative Sessions to the various distribution channels and partnersCarry out a direct client acquisition activation campaigns for the micro Insurance ProductsAct as a Liaison between the various distribution partners i.e Banks, MFI’s, Sacco’s and others with the claims, Underwriting, Finance & Customer Experience Units ensuring all matters are resolvedA Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized UniversityMinimum 3CII / AIIK Papers or its EquivalentSix (6) Years’ Experience, Two (2) of which should be in a similar roleStrong analytical, communication and leadership skillsKnowledge in Product Development and PricingKnowledge of insurance principles and Underwriting practiceA strong Desire for innovation and entrepreneurshipRelationship Building SkillsHow to Apply:
