Head of Health Services

Beacon of Hope (BOH) is a registered Faith based and community non-governmental organization instituted to address the HIV/AIDS pandemic among women in poor communities.

BOH operates a fully equipped Medical Centre in Rongai, Kajiado County. To fulfill its objectives BOH seeks to recruit Head of Health Services.

Job Summary

Reports to Executive Director
To Supervise Clinical Services Officer, Outreach Services Officer & Health Administration Officer
Location BoH Centre – Ongata Rongai

The position is responsible for ensuring that Beacon of Hope delivers quality health services through its health facilities and community outreach programs.

Beacon of Hope Job Key Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of Beacon of Hope’s strategic plan, business plans, policies, operating/administrative procedures and systems for Health Services

Work with the Senior Management Team to maintain enabling infrastructure for the health facilities supported by adequate facilities, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain good working relationship with individuals, institutions, donors, partners and other agencies that support Beacon of Hope’s health services and its initiatives such as medical camps.

Ensure that the health services comply with legal and statutory regulations established by local Health Authorities

Ensure that reports and returns are submitted to the management and relevant Government Authorities as stipulated in the regulations and policies

Facilitate establishment of health outreach services in targeted communities with the aim of improving preventive, promotive and curative health care within adopted communities.

Ensure effective management of human resources within the organization
Beacon of Hope Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Health Sciences discipline.

A post graduate qualification in Heath Service Management or related field.

At least 2 years relevant experience preferably in managing health services.

Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational management skills.

Being a commited and practicing Christian will be an added advantage.
