Content Editor Job Responsibilities:

Writing, editing, and proofreading site content and will work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regard to new developments.

Coordinating the creation of site promotions and online
campaigns.

Work closely with technical, business development, and marketing communication teams in ensuring that the website support business goals across the Group.

Tasks require strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Maintenance and development of the site

Coordinate web projects across departments

Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties working closely with relevant teams across the business

Working with a cross departmental team, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties

Copy, edit and proof read all web content

Keep current with emerging web technologies and apply the same.

Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference

Track and report on all site metrics

Provide weekly and monthly analytics of the sites for purposes of decision making
Qualifications for Content Editor Jobs in Kenya


University degree in a relevant field

Experience in advertising, communications, public relations and web/online content management

1-2years’ experience managing content and production of websites

Required Skills

Strong communication and organizational skills

knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

Passion for emerging online platforms as key business drivers

Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

An understanding of legal issues, such as online copyright

An excellent grasp of English grammar, punctuation and spelling

Creative skills to find interesting ways to present information and to generate new ideas
