Our client is specialised in the completion of turnkey water supply projects and sewerage treatment plants, as well as the supply, training and commissioning of equipment for industry, infrastructure , medical / health and educational projects in the African Region.
Position: Sales and Business Development Manager – Medical Equipment
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist dealers and /or headquarters medical sales personnel in the preparation of tenders and quotations as well as product selection.
- Serve existing customers database and connect with existing and new clients in the region.
- Acquisition of new customers, search and develop new projects and sales opportunities in the range of medical and hospital business.
- Meet and exceed the sales target and profit contribution for the territory.
- Prepare periodic project and sales report, as well as annual budget as required.
- Conduct field and customer visits on regular basis to serve clients and to detect sales opportunities, including reporting to the headquarter.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in an industry related to Medical and Hospital equipment production or sales.
- Intimate knowledge of medical equipment markets preferably with sales experience within tender business in Kenya and with Knowledge of competition and medical and hospital equipment manufacturers.
- Profound knowledge in preparation of technical and commercial bidding documents for international competitive bidding (ICB) tenders.
- Strong business and sales/ marketing knowledge as demonstrated by relevant experience.
- In depth knowledge and experience in implementing dealer and / or direct sales practices and policies.
- Negotiation and presentation skills.
- Communicate with our international partners fluent in written and spoken English .
- Willingness to travel is mandatory.
