Finance (Pharmaceutical & Surgical Distributors)Location: Kampala Uganda
Employment: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Direct & overlook all operational aspects including distribution, human resources, customer services, administration, bookkeeping & sales
Accurate book keeping, including bank reconciliations, verification of invoices, preparations of payments, banking, etc
Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
Prepare & present timely financial reports required by board of directors, law & regulatory body
Monitor & maintain fixed asset register
Debt collection i.e. review collections reports to determine the status of collections and outstanding balances
Prepare & manage cash flow
Deal with third parties, e.g. banks, auditors, insurance brokers, local government bodies, etc
Recruit staff members & either oversee training program or train
Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to
Locate areas of improvements and propose corrective actions
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all local regulations & applicable law
Qualifications / Requirements
Proven management skills
Excellent communication skills
Sufficient knowledge of best practices
Ability to meet goals / targets
Excellent organisational skills
Proficient in computer skills
ERP experience is an added advantage
Knowledge regarding local laws, taxation & regulation is also an added advantage
Experience & know how in Tally
Leadership & human resources management skills
Familiarity with the industry is advantageous
Finance qualification required, e.g. ACCA, CPA equivalent, Finance degree, etc
