IT Support Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
We are a technology company concentrating on satellite communication Serving Customers with innovative products and services across Africa and beyond; we seek to recruit self driven individual to fill the position below;
Reports to the ICT and Technical Manager.
Supports daily ICT operations while developing Information Systems for the organization.
Supports and manages daily Customer tickets, and ensures they are closed in a timely manner as per company policy.
IT Support – Job Duties:
- Supporting the Daily running of ICT operations in the organization
- Offer pre-sales support in customizing solutions to end-users problems; by being proactive in researching on the different areas and making written propositions to the Sales department
- Daily support of end-user client sites, by proactively managing the life cycles of raised tickets and maintaining a high level of reporting
- Determining software that require upgrading, redesigning, feature-addition etc, as required from time to time
- Improves overall company operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Develop and continue to support the company’s Open source Client Relationship Management, and Human Resources Management system
- Programming, developing programming solutions and well as implementing business logic into computer programs.
- Redesign, develop and continually updates the company website and reporting servers as directed by the superiors.
- Structure, document and implement the company’s Search Engine Optimization activities, while at the same time advising and managing the company’s online social media presence.
- Studies and understands the current billing systems. Thereafter develops a roadmap for the system improvement overtime by enhancing the already existing code, or regenerating new advanced systems to replace the current ones.
- Refining the company’s reporting portals and business intelligence tools using the latest technologies with a view to improve the quality of decisions made
Systems Developer Skills and Qualifications:
- Good oral and written communicator.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Practical knowledge various programming languages and applications including VB.Net, ASP.NET, SQL Reporting services, C#, PHP, JQuery, HTML5 and WordPress CMS.
- Excellent Software Design, Debugging, Documentation, Testing and Problem Solving skills.
- A team-player open to ideas and who is able to turn the ideas into a software or infrastructural design capable of solving a customer need.
- Selling skills will be a strong added advantage
