Job Title: Kenyan Technical specialist
Salary: Highly negotiable
Synopsis:

A leading construction company is looking for a technical specialist to maximise specification performance, in line with Company objectives and strategy, working as part of the international sales team within the Africa Development Business Unit.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accountable for conversion from Architect specification to QS BOM implementation to main contractor.
Work across the supply chain, internal and external, engaging Quantity Surveyors, main contractors and influencers to promote system solutions.
Prepare cost estimates for product systems, construction projects, or services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product or service and rate establishment by building system type.
Peruse and advise on bills of quantities and correct Comany specifications.
Initiating main contractor and quantity surveyor relationships.
Communication and relationship building with clients, key stakeholders, etc.
Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct and maintenance of confidentiality at all times.
Adherence to Company reporting procedure/commercial admin, systems, offering appropriate feedback and information.
Successful management of CRM Project leads through specifiers where applicable.
To be driven by performance board vs standard board KPI’s by ensuring specification offering includes product stand outs, expertise and advice on advantages of our comprehensive product range. Communicating the entire value proposition to customer.
Proactively identifying new opportunities for enhanced specifications, uncovering and understanding these through application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness and in depth knowledge of customers’ businesses.
Articulate how our offer stands out, offer specification expertise and advice on the advantages of our comprehensive product range, communicating the value proposition to the customer.
Achievement of local demand forecasts in line with regional KPI.
Working with other team members to develop technical skills.
Responsible for planning and setting up of showrooms across Africa in identified countries.
Responsible for handling customer training and technical development.
Develop project specifications and work on these as the project progresses.
Strong focus on project management, building sustainable relationships to maximise market advantage.
Requirements:
Extensive experience within the construction industry
Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Technology
4 – 6 years experience in CAD, Revit, Inventor or a Technical Support function
