Consultancy Services to Develop Turkana County Energy Sector Plan
The Turkana County Government through the Ministry of Energy, Environment and Natural Resources in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Kenya intend to develop an Energy Sector Plan for the County.
This will be a key step in mapping out the available energy resources in the county and strategizing on the provision of efficient, clean and sustainable energy to power the growth of the county.
In order to develop the county energy sector plan, Turkana County Government in close cooperation with GIZ-ProSolar, seeks to hire an Energy Consultant / Consulting Firm to asses and map the county energy resource potential, establish
the current status of energy use, analyse the current and projected energy demand in the County, and propose energy development interventions that will drive economic development in the long-term.
This exercise will be carried out in close collaboration with the Turkana County Government, the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP) and other key stakeholders, with the key objective to develop a County Energy Sector Plan.
GIZ hereby invites applications from interested energy consultants/consulting firms to carry out this exercise. The consultancy will be carried out between October 2015 and January 2016.

The bidding conditions will give further information on how to proceed with the tender process.
General purchase conditions and procurement procedures of GIZ apply.
Bidders are not allowed to contact or discuss any aspect of the tender with GIZ before closing of the tender except as instructed in the bidding conditions.
Failure to adhere to this will lead to automatic disqualification.
