Purpose of job:
To support the Head of Arts Kenya and the wider British Council team to deliver an engaging arts programme that builds friendly knowledge and understanding between the UK and Kenya.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Project Coordination Support the delivery of project activity to agreed timelines, costs and performance indicators
Finance and Procurement Coordination Support the Head of Arts with the procurement of goods and services in line with established corporate policies and guidelines
Scorecard: To administer British Council’s monitoring and evaluation tool: Scorecard
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Child Protection standards Support the Head of Arts Kenya to ensure that project delivery and activity reflect British Council EDI policy
Other important features or requirements of the job (Required candidate will also need to possess):
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines
Some travel and evening working within Kenya and internationally.
Some unsocial working hours
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience managing projects in the arts (as per role profile)
