Vacancy: Boilermaker
 

Location: Lolgorian, Trans Mara, Narok County
 

Kilimapesa Gold Mine (Pty) Ltd a leading gold mining company within Kenya and with its Holding Company namely Goldplat Plc being listed in the London Stock Exchange seeks to appoint a qualified Boilermaker.
 

A. Qualifications and Experience

• Must have completed a recognized Apprenticeship AND Trade Test Certificate in the above trade and must have at least a N2 or an equal qualification


• Must have at least 2 years experience


• Being multi skilled will be an added advantage


• Medically fit in accordance with Mines Health and Safety Act requirements


• Practical welding and fabrication skills


• Ability to read fabrication drawings

B. Duties and Responsibilities

• Will report to relevant Foreman


• Ensuring Health and Safety compliance within his area of responsibility


• Managing the planned maintenance and construction within his area of responsibility


• Construct and Fabricate steel work in a mining underground environment


• Maintain winders and rock flow equipment


• Perform inspections in accordance with Mine Health and Safety Act , manufacturing and Company standards


• Motivate and maintain good relationships with operational personnel


• Assign corrective measures and follow up on outstanding /overdue actions


• Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures


• Plan and manage the training and development of personnel


• Must be prepared to work outside normal working hours , shifts ,standby and overtime if required to do so

C. Skills and Competencies

• Good written and verbal communications skills in English


• Sound knowledge of mining and metallurgy processes?


• Ability to lead and guide team

D. Salary

 
Salary will be market related and include benefits.
