Network Engineer

Salary: 35k – 43k
 

Summary of Roles: The candidate will be involved in: IP Networking, Network Security, Network Design, Linux Systems & Networking, Windows Systems & Networking, VoIP and Network Operations.

Required Skills:
 

Routing 

• CCNA certified and active


• CCNP completed, certified is preferred, active is preferred.


• Other Vendors – Juniper, Huawei, HP are added advantage.

 

Switching 

• CCNA certified and active, CCNP completed, certified and active are preferred.


• Other Vendors 


• Juniper, Huawei, HP are added advantage.

Security  

• Firewall – Cisco, Juniper, F5, Palo Alto, Fotigate


• Others like, Cyber-roam, Mikrotik, Linux


• Unified Threat Management, IPS, Content Filters using Linux, Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Cyber-roam and other vendors


• Certified Ethical Hacker is preferred

 Linux 

• Server Systems Administration, Networking and Security


• Hands-on is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT


• Ability to learn and implement new open source systems.

Windows Server Administration and Networking is an Added Advantage

Voice/VoIP

• Ability to configure and integrate both Voice/VoIP systems: Cisco, AVAYA, Asterisk and other vendors.

Required

• Ability to configure Telephony applications like call center is an Added Advantage.


• Network Solutions Design, Deployment & Support


• Communications: Knowledge in network communications setup is an added advantage e.g. Wimax, wireless, fiber, dsl etc.


• NOC: Design, Configure, Manage and Support an efficient network monitoring platform
