Handicap International (HI) is recruiting a Regional Coordinator Refugee Affairs – KENYA/TANZANIA to support the regional TUSK (Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia, Kenya) development program for a one year contract starting in November 2015.
The Regional Coordinator Refugee Affairs is responsible for ensuring implementation of operational long-term activities of HI in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps in Kenya, and a possible intervention at Nyarugusu Refugee Camp in Tanzania. The position is based in Nairobi but with high % of presence in the refugees sites (Dadaab, Kakuma and others if development).
He/She :
- coordinates the different components of the operational long-term response (facilitation and coordination of disability mainstreaming and community-based rehabilitation activities) and is therefore responsible for the projects implementation and follow-up as well as internal and external coordination.
- is responsible for development projects and their different components, coordinating and supervising the different field teams in all refugee project sites and ensuring the qualitative and quantitative follow-up and management of the different activities.
- is responsible for the technical quality of the projects.
We are looking for a senior project manager with an experience on projects related to Protection, provision of social services, and rehabilitation/disability, ideally in insecure contexts.
Fixed-term contract under French law. The position is open for a departure as single, as couple or as family.
