About The Position

We are looking for a Brands Manager to effectively, efficiently and profitably manage the Ford Brand with a view of meeting the business strategic goals. The individual will develop the retailer strategy to increase revenue and profit in all areas of the business in accordance with the Group’s growth plan, working with and developing our enthusiastic and skilled team to deliver the highest levels of customer experience. The job holder plays a key role in helping develop, implement and manage pan Group initiatives leading the Ford team by example in terms of behavior and conduct.


In a dynamic and fast moving market such as the East Africa the job holder must be able to adapt to change willingly and be instrumental to developing the business in such an environment.


Duties


The ideal candidate shall be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:


Understand customer requirements and deliver product and services of the highest quality thereby setting industry standards, ensuring, and customer delight and developing a loyal customer base.

Identify potential customers, understand their business requirements and present the company’s products and services in a manner that convinces the customer to place orders.

Provide support to the General Manager-Passenger Cars for the preparation of annual budget and business proposals, which highlight major activities planned for achieving set targets. Execute these plans and periodically reviews them to enable the division to meet or exceed set targets.

Analyse market information on product pricing to formulate appropriate prices / quotations for orders to meet gross margin and profit requirements as well as the customer’s requirement.

Gather and analyse  market information on competitor activities to ensure the Division’s competitive edge in product, pricing, services and systems.

Explore and convert new business opportunities through effective customer identification, surveys, competitor analysis, market information and tender analysis in order to exceed annual business targets.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Skills And Experience


A university Degree in Sales & Marketing/ equivalent from a recognized institution.

At least 8 -10 years’ experience in automotive dealership out of which a minimum 5 years should be at Managerial Level.

Demonstrated leadership skills and Strategic/Systems Thinking, Customer Orientation, Decisiveness.

Business Negotiation skills, Business acumen, Strategy, Organizational & analytical skills.
