Consultancy for review/development of Primary School Leadership,****Inspection and Supervision (PSLP) policy documents and training materials
The National Inclusive Education Policy[1] framework commits to among eleven things: (i) develop a process that identifies and addresses the barriers to achieving quality educational outcomes for all learners; (ii) develop capacity of teachers and head teachers, specialists and essential service providers to deliver quality services to learners requiring additional support, including learners with disabilities; and (iii) promote effective management and coordination of services to support achievement of all learners and those requiring additional support, including learners with disabilities.
The objective of the consultancy is to review and where necessary develop policies and guidance for school leaders; and for inspectors and supervisors. Specifically, the consultant will review and where necessary develop:
· policies and guidance for school leaders consistent with South Sudan’s General Education Strategic Plan and various policies such as National Inclusive Education Policy, Gender, Policy for Alternative Education Systems, and Gender Policy
· policies and guidance for Inspectors and Supervisors consistent with South Sudan’s General Education Strategic Plan and various policies such as National Inclusive Education Policy, Gender, Policy for Alternative Education Systems, and Gender Policy
· course material for a basic school leadership programme ensuring accuracy and relevance of the content to the South Sudan’s national teacher training and pupil curriculum
· syllabus, course material, modules, and assessment systems for a 6-9 month distance and face-to-face accredited professional qualification programme for school leaders ensuring accuracy and relevance of the content to the South Sudan’s General Education Strategic Plan
· course material for a basic supervisor and inspector programme ensuring accuracy and relevance of the content to the South Sudan’s General Education Strategic Plan
· syllabus, course material, modules, assessment systems for a 6-9 month distance and face-to-face accredited professional qualification programme for supervisors and inspectors ensuring accuracy and relevance of the content to the South Sudan’s General Education Strategic Plan.
