Solar Sales Engineer Career Opportunity in Nairobi Kenya (60K)




Job Title: Solar Sales Engineer

Report to: Sales Manager (Projects)
 



Salary: KShs 60,000 + Commission

Our client has an outstanding career opportunity for a Solar Products Sales Engineer to join their company. 




They are a leading internationally recognized Manufacturing Company of PV and water heating systems with presence all over Africa. The position is located in Nairobi
 


 


The Sales Engineer will contribute to the dissemination of solar energy by maximizing the sales of products. 



To ensure prospects are taken through the sales process in a timely fashion, receivables are collected on time and customers are satisfied by providing adequate installation and after sales service.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • To close sales on a consistent basis and in line with credit and delivery terms

  • To meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and grow sales month by month

  • To present to potential clients through direct communication, face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails and presentations.

  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Act as a representative in marketing events and tradeshows.

  • To meet high ethical standards in line with the company culture

  • To report to the Sales Manager – Projects on a daily basis  


Qualification & Skills


  • Minimum Diploma in Sales and Marketing

  • Must have sales experience in Nairobi County

  • 1-6 years of sales experience in Solar Industry. Candidates with experience in direct selling preferred

  • Proven track-record of meeting revenue/ collection targets

  • A go-getter, who can take initiative and work independently

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, passionate

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Able to connect with people and obtain their trust and respect
