Driver Needed Urgently

Department: Logistics

Contract duration: six months
 

Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya
 

Starting Date: September 2017
 

ACTED is a non-governmental organization whose vocation is to support vulnerable population world wide and to accompany them in building a better future. 

ACTED was created in 1993, is governed by the French law and has its head quarters in Paris, France.

ACTED Kenya is looking for an experienced self driven and a self oriented professional to fill the post
 

Reporting to the transport Officer, his duties will include:

• Driving assigned the vehicle 


• Transport ACTED staff within all the cities and districts in which ACTED is operating. 


• Inspecting vehicle to know their condition and reporting any defects to the transport officer and Logistics Officer 


• To take up inventory of the car items daily 


• Ensuring insurance cover and Inspection certificates are up to date 


• Ensuring the vehicle is in a clean condition at all times 


• Delivery of parcels whenever necessary 


• Handling driving duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• O Level with a minimum of C minus 


• Must possess a valid driving license 


• Must have experience in driving in and in and around Nairobi. 


• Having been trained as mechanic will be an added advantage 


• A diploma in engineering automotive is desirable. 


• Must possess a valid Certificate of good conduct 


• Able to communicate adequately in English or Kiswahili 


• Has excellent attendance and positive attitude to the job
