Manufacturing Operations Analyst
Location: Thika
Our client, a well-established Food Processing Company is looking for an Operations Analyst to serve as a business partner to provide financial analysis and support, identify cost reduction opportunities, and assist in preparing the annual budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update standard costs, year round, to ensure proper cost of goods sold results, manufacturing variance results, and accurate inventory costing
- Prepare and present to management next year’s budgeted cost of goods sold, labor and overhead rates, and any budgeted variances
- Analyze manufacturing variances and production activities
- Provide financial assistance in new product development and launch analysis.
- Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP data through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processing
- Reviews and challenges plant investment project requests to ensure financial viability, consistency with business strategy and strategic plans and compliance with company rules
- Initiates and co-ordinates projects as necessitated by the plant’s control department’s annual action plans
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Raw material reconciliation against the output and against the recipe and variances analyzed
- Manage the external audit processes, ensuring that the external auditors are supplied with information required
- Assist internal auditors with financial accounting related reviews.
Required
- Must have a Bachelors degree in any business related field
- Must have professional accounting qualification – CPA III
- Must have over 5 years experience in experience in a similar role in manufacturing set up
- Strong business acumen and vision.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel
- Specific knowledge of cost accounting concepts, to include standard cost systems, manufacturing variances, maintaining standard costs, and inventory valuation
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of timeliness and results orientation
Deadline: 5th September 2017
Salary: Kshs. 150,000 gross plus other benefits
