Brookhurst International School is a co-educational institution for students aged 10-19 years. Our curriculum affords students a chance to gain access to leading universities nationally and worldwide by offering British National Curriculum (BNC).

The school is located in Kiserian, Kajiado district 20 kilometers from the Nairobi in a serene environment suitable for learning.

About the vacancy: Our approach is to get the best from every child irrespective of their learning challenges. We seek to ensure our students individually excel in sports and in academics. 

We are looking for an experienced educator to head teaching support department that focuses on students with various learning difficulties. 

Additionally, the coordinator is expected to support teachers acquire skills to enable them support such students in normal class lessons.
 

Key qualifications for the coordinator 

• A first  degree in special education in addition to teaching subjects  


• Teaching  experience of not less  than five years in IGCSE system of education


• Experience in teaching  British National Curriculum is a must


• At least not less  than five years’ experience in dealing with students with learning difficulties

Other important qualities for the job

• Commitment and passion to work with children and positively transform their lives


• Communication and networking skills


• Planning and coordination skills
