Academic Center Facilities Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya

Our Client a non-profit service company with Academic Centers in Kenya is seeking to hire a qualified Facilities Manager to be based in Nairobi.





The incumbent will manage both strategic planning and day-to-day operations of our integrated facilities environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  •  Management of services and processes that support our core business – school buildings and premises: Includes inspections, preventative maintenance schedules and project management, administration of leases and title deeds, permits for work places and budget development of multi-year projects. 

  • Management of all contracted activities

  • Mentor, guide and support staff in creating, developing and executing a sustainable integrated management service delivery model for our facilities.

  • Ensuring collaborative process in delivering projects within the agreed deadlines.

  • Develop and implement  of strategies for facilities management for the organization to achieve reliability in equipment, machines, buildings and grounds management

  • Ensure buildings, grounds and equipment met statutory government regulations concerning environmental, health and safety standards

  • Organize  and supervise cleaning of the campus complex buildings by use of modern equipment and well trained sub-contracted human resource

  • Plan and coordinate  the work of contractors to ensure building works, renovations and contracted machinery services were completed satisfactorily and to recommended standards and specifications

  • Plan, allocate and manage space within buildings by ensuring best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing current premises for use and functions

  • Coordinate and supervise the maintenance unit by making sure all equipment, furniture, tools and machines were functioning well


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 8 years professional Facilities Management experience

  • Proficiency in computer skills and programs as they relate to facilities management.
