FMCG Company Senior Procurement Officer Job in Kenya (130K)

Our client, a well-established FMCG company is looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to be responsible for purchasing CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services including; general admin, logistics, sales and marketing in the entire value chain.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement of CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services requirements at the right quality, cost and risk.


• Effective risk management and governance of CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services.


• Effective cost management on CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services.


• Build key relationship for value with CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services suppliers.


• Focus on innovation and deliver innovative ideas aimed at step changing the purchasing process.


• Sustainable procurement practice and implementing of procurement strategy, policy and structure.


• Conducting annual procurement planning for CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services with the respective departments.


• Identifying qualified CAPEX, Repairs and maintenance, Projects and Services sending RFQ, analyzing the responses and placing purchase orders for approval.


• Managing tendering process for CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services requirements.


• Order progression and follow up to ensure timely delivery of CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services.


• Ensure full utilization of purchasing ERP.


• CAPEX, repairs and maintenance, projects and services supply contract management and supplier relationship management.

Required

• Must have a Business or Engineering degree backed with Purchasing and Supplies qualification such as CIPS


• Must have a minimum of B+ (plus) in KSCE


• Must have a minimum of 3 years FMCG experience in a busy procurement environment


• CAPEX, projects and services procurement experience is highly desired


• Basic accounting qualifications will be an added advantage


• Excellent negotiation and deal closing skills


• Experience in developing and maintaining supplier relations.

Salary: KSh. 130,000 plus other benefits
