Vacancy: Maintenance Engineer / Technician

Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
 

Experience: Minimum 4 years in an FMCG - Food industry
 

Specialization: Mechanical (plant option), Refrigeration, Electrical and Electronics
 

Location: Thika
 

 

Salary: 40K - 60K Gross

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carrying out daily pre-operative and start up equipments check in readiness for the day’s production.


• Adhere to all Food Safety Regulations while carrying out Maintenance including tools reconciliation.


• Monitor and record consumption of boilers fuel, generator fuel, power and water consumption on weekly basis.


• Maintain and document total productivity and autonomous maintenance activities for all equipment in the EV section.


• You will be responsible for informing the Maintenance Engineer of the required spare parts bearing in mind the optimum stock levels.


• Monitoring Health and safety issues for both equipments and employees


• Elimination of maintenance related wastage and cost control.


• Assist the Maintenance Engineer in carrying out Facility Inspection as per procedures.


• Assist the engineer in supervision of the maintenance staff.


• Adherence to Kenchic’s FSSC/QSA/FSA/GMP/Hygiene Practices.


• Implementation of KAIZEN System and Standards.


• Any other duty that shall be reasonably assigned by Management from time to time.
