Great Lakes University of Kisumu is a private chartered university offering degree programs  in various disciplines including Health Sciences, Community  Health Programs, Humanity and Agribusiness among others. 

The University is looking for highly motivated, qualified, experienced and reputable team player to fill the position of 

Dean of Students 

 
Grade 8

 

Job Responsibilities

• Counsels students and advises them regarding campus-related problems.


• Participates in the development of policies and procedures for the Dean of Students’ Office;


• Interprets policy and prepares recommendations.


• The Dean is the returning officer during elections of office-bearers of the student council.


• Guides and encourages students to form and develop professional and social clubs and societies, and shall in that regard, facilitate provision of the necessary support to such clubs and societies.


• Establish sports and games committee that will operate under the office of the Dean of Students. This committee shall advise the Senate on all matters pertaining to sports and games in the University.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have /be:

• A Ph.D in relevant field.


• Served as Senior Student Counselor for at least 5 years with exemplary work performance


• Must be computer literate

Or

• A Masters degree in the relevant field with minimum 10 years.


• Relevant work experience and exemplary work performance.
