Program Administrative Assistant at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation ( KARLO )

The program assistant will be responsible for administrative duties assigned by the program manager and deputy program manager. They will set meetings for the team and secure meeting space or set up conference calls. The successful candidate will be an effective verbal and written communicator with experience handling correspondence and supporting teams in widely varying time zones. This is a full-time position based in the one of the KALRO Institutes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• One (1) year of administrative experience in a government setting, including drafting memos, preparing communications on another’s behalf, organizing meetings, reserving space/providing conference lines, monitoring a team email inbox, routing emails to relevant team members, managing team calendars, tracking leave/TDY, and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.

• Three (3) years of administrative experience working with teams in different time zones.
