Introduction

The Aga Khan Foundation is a leading global development organisation working to tackle the root causes of poverty. For more than 50 years, we have helped create strong community institutions that support sustainable, locally driven initiatives to improve the lives of millions of people. By combining local knowledge with global best practices, we strive to bring about transformative and long-lasting improvements to quality of life. Working alongside the agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network and through partnerships with local communities, civil society and business as well as governments and international aid agencies, we are building a future where we all thrive together.

Background

Schools2030 is a ten-year participatory learning improvement programme based in 1,000 government schools across ten countries, led by the Aga Khan Foundation. Using the principles of human-centered design and focusing on the key transition years of ages 5, 10 and 15 years old, Schools2030 supports teachers and students to design and implement education micro-innovations. These low-cost and scalable innovations will inform and transform education systems to improve holistic learning outcomes for the most marginalized learners worldwide. Our goal is to raise holistic learning outcomes and to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values they need to become contributing members of their communities and to thrive.

Purpose

Communications and the programme’s visibility are a central part of its strategy to scale micro-innovations around the world and encourage worldwide systems change by advocating Schools2030 methodology. Multimedia help to play a crucial role in our storytelling abilities and can support the creation of a wide range of communications products, from our website and news articles to our reports, to our monthly newsletters and more. We are therefore seeking a graphic designer to design visibility/communication materials to help us enhance the programme’s visibility, celebrate our stakeholders, and demonstrate our impact.
