Our client is an established high end bar and restaurant in the Lavington area. We are seeking applications to fill the following positions:

Accountant (salary range 35,000)

This is a role responsible for undertaking the company`s book-keeping, financial accounting, monitoring and reporting processes. The role holder is expected to perform undertake the following duties among others:
* Recording of financial transactions
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Reconciling bank statements
* Preparation of annual and management accounts;
* Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
* Researching and reporting on factors influencing financial performance

Minimum Criteria:
* CPA(K) or its equivalent
* 3 years post qualification experience in a similar or related position
* Strong financial numeracy and analytical skills with ability to interpret data
* An appreciation of the accounting dynamics of the services sector
* Experience in carrying out quantitative and qualitative analytical reviews on financial statement items.
* Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Working knowledge of computers and experience in using accounting software
* High degree of honesty and integrity

Assistant Restaurant Manager (salary range Kshs.30,000/=)
This role entails providing leadership, supervision, support and guidance to the team in the restaurant to achieve restaurant objectives and deliver of excellent customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidates should possess the following criteria:
* Hospitality related diploma
* Previous supervisory or management role in a restaurant
* Strong customer focus with ability to manage client relationships and resolve complaints
* Must possess strong leadership capabilities including strong personal impact to motivate and drive performance whilst instilling discipline among the team
* Strong team management experience/skills with ability to motivate and mobilize high performance
* Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for overall performance of the restaurant including sales performance, service of cashiers, cash monitoring, health and safety compliance, stock control etc.
* Willingness to work for long hours including weekends and public holidays with typical shifts being 8 hours long, some running late into the night.
* High degree of honesty and integrity

Waiter (salary range Kshs7,000/= to be reviewed after probation)
This is a role that requires delivery of excellent service to restaurant clients’ typical tasks including:

* Escort customers to their tables
* Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
* Serve food and/or beverages to patrons
* Check with customers to ensure their satisfaction
* Prepare bills that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
* Ensure cleanliness of service areas including removal of dishes and glasses from tables or counters

Shift working is a feature of this role including weekends and public holidays. Minimum requirements for applications are:
* ‘O’ level education
* Good ability to communicate in English both oral and written
* At least 1 year experience in a similar position
* Basic numeracy skills
* Good interpersonal and client relationship management skills
* Positive attitude and service orientation
* High degree of honesty and integrity
