This job vacancy is placed by Fanisi HR solutions on behalf of Fourways Junction Residents Association (FJRA). Fourways Junction is a gated community along Kiambu road. FJRA is recruiting a Finance Manager.


Job Summary


Reporting to the Estate Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the estate finances are properly managed and accounted for.  With strong management skills, the right candidate will ensure a strong cash flow and will oversee an assistant accountant to prudently manage receivables and payables.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Ensure the set collections target is met at all times.

  • Ensure transparency and efficiency of financial processes.

  • Manage debtors and creditors and ensure a strong cashflow system is in place.

  • Oversee proper invoicing.

  • Prepare and submit timely financial reports and statements.

  • Carry out bank reconciliations.

  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.

  • Oversee payroll management.

  • Ensure statutory payments are made correctly and on time.

  • Oversee management of petty cash.

  • Lead the preparation for and facilitate external audit on time.

  • Organizing for periodic inventory checks.

  • Prepare budgets and ensure they are followed.

  • Respond to queries from customers regarding their accounts.


Job Requirements



  • A fully qualified CPA K with a Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years’ work experience in accounting.

  • Management accounting experience mandatory.

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong management skills.

  • Must have led at least one full time team member at accountant level.

  • Able to demonstrate strong debt collection skills.

  • Excellent MS Office Skills with experience using Quickbooks Online.

  • Experience preparing payroll and making statutory payments.

  • Very good communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Well organized and capable of working- under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Very keen attention to detail.

  • A strong team player.
