Regional Operations NGO Job Vacancy

The NGO Security Program, Nairobi Office, is recruiting for the following position:
Regional Operations Analyst Specialist
Commencement: Immediate

Duty station: Nairobi, Kenya. Non-Family duty station, frequent travel to Somalia.
Contract: 1 Year renewable

Purpose of the position:
The Regional Operation Analyst Specialist will be the key person responsible for managing of the Field Operation Specialist team.

The purpose of this position is to: provide geopolitical analysis and write high quality security reports based on data provided by the Field Operation Specialists team targeting an audience of NGOs; support NGOs during crisis management.

Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor in Journalism/Political Sciences/History/Anthropology or any other equivalent qualification.
* 3 – 5 years of experience in positions requiring information sourcing, processing, analysis and reporting.
* Minimum 2 years of Somalia experience.
* Minimum 2 years experience in security (NGO or other) at a management level
* Experience in critical incident management.
* Well developed networks for information in Somalia and regional hubs such as Nairobi
* Demonstrated capacity to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of engagement.
