Farm Manager Job Vacancy in Nakuru

A large scale cereal/dairy farm located in Nakuru is looking for a qualified and experienced farm manager.
The farm manager shall report to board of directorsThe candidate will participate in effective management of the farm and will be in charge of the farm and responsible for day to day running of the farm, human resources and farm operations for both crop and livestock, and usage of farm machineryThe farm manager shall be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for the farm in line with company’s strategic plan He /she will be expected to prepare business forecast for the cereal and dairy and will be responsible for the financial management of the farm. In addition, the farm manager must innovatively and effectively run the farm for optimal productivity and profitabilityHe/she will be responsible for updating and safe keeping of all farm records and assetsThe farm manager shall be expected to prepare quarterly and annual reports and evaluate the same with the forecastQualifications

This position requires a person with thorough knowledge in farm management and farming as a business enterprise

Have a Bachelor of Science degree in any agricultural related disciplineOr a diploma in large scale farming or any agricultural related disciplineTo Have at least five years experience in managing a large scale mixed farm with dairy and commercial crops enterpriseBe a dynamic, self-driven, focused, disciplined and be a team player.Should be in possession of a driving licenseReside on the farm.Terms of Service

The successful applicant will be hired on a three (3) year contract term with competitive negotiated remuneration package.

The contract will be based on an agreed performance targets and renewable on mutual agreement
