Legal Jobs Kenya Contract Manager.

Our client is the world’s principal supplier of mobile networks with majority of commercial mobile broadband network operators choosing them as their vendor. Their network solutions include, radio access network, core network solutions; microwave radio and optical fiber solutions, among others.

The company also offers a range of mobile devices, including those supporting multimedia applications and other personal communications services; they have products for special applications within the enterprise, cable, mobile platform and power module markets.

The company is looking to fill the position of Contract Managers – Legal to provide accurate contractual information coming from signed contracts; identify and mitigate potential contractual and commercial risks; keep track of non-contractual services and deliveries supplied so as to generate add – on sales.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for Contractual Legal aspects, Change Management & Variations as well as the formulation of commercial conditions and clauses
* Review and provide explanation on contractual terms in existing and / or proposed customer contracts and agreements. Plan against applicable directives and the offered prices and scope.
* Perform preventive and curative risks analysis & mitigations; analyze and assess potential contractual and commercial risks including proposal to mitigate risks
* Be the guardian of Contractual scope and SLAs for Managed Capacity and Services monitoring the terms, conditions, responsibilities, deliverables, obligations, liabilities, KPIs, approvals and reconciliation processes, among others.
* Prepare and submit reports to the Head of Contracts Management, escalating any major issues. Provide Compliance Statement for the Customer Contracts.
* Advise Head of Contract Management and Key Accounts Managers on commercial contract matters and support/participate in contract negotiations.
* Advise on correct contract type and appropriate contract template in conjunction with Market Unit and/or Customer Legal’s.
* Manage Contracts FAQ and support Accounts and Projects teams with daily questions & answers around signed Contracts.
* Co-ordinate necessary activities with Customer Contract to ensure quality as well as proper handing over of contracts. Ensure that final signed versions of contracts are securely stored.
* Preparation and execution of training to sales teams regarding contract management.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Legal studies/ Business Administration or a related field.
* Training in Telecommunications Engineering is an advantage
* At least 6 years of experience in Legal / Contractual activities, possibly in Technical Contract Management
* Proven experience and record in Contracts Management & negotiations
* Good sales and financial knowledge
* Solid experience in Bid, Risk and Contract Management
* Sound Technical (Telecommunications, GSM) knowledge and understanding is an added advantage.
* Analytical and strategic mind
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
