Retail Sales Representatives Job.

Our client, a multinational manufacturing company with presence in the East Africa region is looking to hire a Retail Sales Representatives reporting to the Regional Sales Representatives. The main responsibility for the role is to increase sales volume and maximize market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities in this role include:
* Establishing a strong retail base for the company’s brands through building of close and effective relationships with the retailers.
* Enhancing retail penetration by developing and implementing effective retail coverage plans for the designated area.
* Making planned visits to clients within the area on a regular basis in order to develop a better understanding of the users and generate the required pull for the products.
* Establishing an effective system for receiving and relaying retail customers’ orders to distributors.
* Preparing regular and timely reports on sales volumes by retailer and submitting them to the supervisor.
* Planning and reviewing retailers’ sales performances regularly and initiating actions to meet sales targets.
* Preparing and submitting regular reports to management on prices, volumes and competitor activities.
* Customer Care, i.e., identifies retail customers’ needs and solving their problems together with the customer service team.
* Handling customer queries and giving feedback to the management on the key areas of product quality and customer service.
* Engaging in distribution of merchandising and POS material to the retailers.
* Establishing and ensuring maintenance of good corporate relations with stakeholders in the designated area.
* Special assignments – e.g. managing of partnership programs.

REQUIREMENTS:
The position is a very hands-on role, sound commercial awareness, requiring a highly motivated, independent, strong, and assertive sales executive who has an outstanding record of sales achievement and who will hit the ground running. Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated by job satisfaction and the desire to achieve outstanding results.

The successful candidate will be having Degree or Diploma in a Business or Engineering related discipline with at least 1 year field sales experience. He/she will have good working knowledge of all commercial sales policies (cash, credit, installments) and will demonstrate knowledge of sales processes, including the ability to accurately meet customers’ needs. The successful candidate will be highly numerate, computer literate, have excellent communication and reporting skills and possess a clean driver’s license.

Remuneration: the package offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
