Job Title: Programme Officer - APHIA Plus

Purpose of the position:

The primary purpose of the Programme Officer for Aphia Plus is to lead processes that ensure alignment and compliance with WVK policies and USAID guidelines; ensure smooth coordination between WVK APHIA plus field team and the national office; and Representations in consortium meetings.

The holder of this position is also expected to Communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.

Major Responsibilities:

Ensuring that APHIA Plus interventions are implemented in alignment WVK three track ministry approach , GOK,USAID and other accepted norms and standards;Coordinating and ensuring timely responses to queries, issues, requests that are raised by APHIA Teams from the field teams to NO.Represent WVK in APHIA Plus consortium meetings, GOK fora and other partnership meetingsCompiling and sharing APHIA plus monthly, quarterly and annual reports with Branch one teamCoordination of key workshops/forums/meetings and subsequent compilation of required documents for initial start up of APHIA plus and their after.Promoting integration between APHIA Plus interventions and other WVK ministry tracks within Sub branches and Integrated Programme Areas(IPAs)Providing linkage between APHIA plus teams in the field and the national officeMonitoring, evaluating, documenting and sharing lessons and best practices from APHIA Plus.Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Ensure that these interventions are implemented not only in alignment with a fully integrated three track ministry approach but also in compliance with WVI, GOK and other accepted norms and standards;The Holder of this position must have a Bachelors Degree in Social sciences, preferable Community development, Sociology or, Development studies.Technical Training qualifications required: Highly skilled in programming : designs, monitoring and evaluation and documentation l,Experience: 3-5 years of experience in development in an International NGO of which one year must be in coordination of partnerships.Good presentation and communication and facilitation skills.A strong aptitude for organizational change, innovation, learning, team buildingLanguage fluency in English and KiswahiliFull ability to communicate cross-culturally and be cross-culturally sensitive.Good understanding of transformational development Download More Job Details Here
