Trading and Export Manager Job Vacancy in Uganda

The Organisation

Our company processes and exports mainly cocoa and vanilla, and is based in Kampala, Uganda, with about 100 full time staff.

Our emphasis is in working with small-holder farmers, to enable them to achieve better levels of productivity and quality of crops for export on a long term sustainable basis.

The Position

The candidate will be based in Kampala, and reporting to the Managing Director.

The job will include:

Managing the cocoa futures and foreign exchange positions based on production, stocks and sales.Managing the Export Department for efficient and timely forwarding of our products to our buyers (via Mombasa port and by air from Entebbe)Checking the detail of export documentation and tracking debtorsLiaising with the offices of our associated company in DR CongoQualifications and Experience:
Graduate level education or equivalentExperience and a proven track record in commodities or financial tradingA good working knowledge of French would be a distinct advantageGood attention to detail a mustExcellent interpersonal skills both within the office and with customersSome background in agriculture an advantageCapacity to work in a demanding environment and desire to take on challengesFlexibility, patience and persistence required.Eagerness to promote the company’s mission and subscribe to the firm’s core valuesAged between 25 and 45 years of ageStarting date— 1st March 2011Full details on applicationHow to Apply:
