Chief Accountant Job Opening.

Our client, a medium sized factory requires a chief accountant.

Duties:

Reporting to the Managing Director and shall be responsible for:

* Strengthening internal controls of the company and ensuring they are effective
* Liaising with external suppliers and all other third parties
* In charge of the companies finance and administrative functions.
* Prepare the company’s budget and ensure all objectives are strictly followed.
* Supervise all the accounts staff.
* Ensuring books of accounts are updated all the time.
* Liaison with external auditors.
* Preparing periodic and timely management accounts for the company
* Any other duties as may be assigned by the managing director from time to time

Qualifications/Experience
* Degree in accounting/finance
* Holder of CPA (K) or equivalent
* 5 years minimum experience 2 of which must have been in a similar position
* Proficient in computerized accounting systems
* Previous administrative experience is a must
* Basic understanding of the Kenyan tax laws
* Good reporting and communication skills

Remuneration will commensurate with the post.
