Position: Youth Program Coordinator - YPC/LVCT/2011
Location: Nairobi
Overall Purpose
Provide leadership, coordination, strategic guidance, fore and oversight for implementation of a comprehensive youth programme with integrated partnership building, policy advocacy, and technical support for HIV service delivery for youth, with a special focus on those at increased vulnerability such as HIV positive youth, survivors of sexual violence, girls, youth with disability and minority youth.
Key Responsibilities
BA in Social Sciences, communications or related fieldA minimum of 4 years’ experience working with young people, project coordination and organizational capacity developmentExperience in HIV programming. Fundraising experience will be an added advantage.Good communication and report writing skillsSkills in participatory training methodsShould be creative and innovative in developing ideas that appeal and are relevant to the youth constantly.Should be able to comfortably work with multiple platforms including Windows, Vista, and design packages such as publisher, Adobe Photoshop/Corel Draw.
